City advises of critical electricity maintenance in parts of Rocklands Mitchells Plain on 27 September

The City’s Electricity Generation and Distribution Department advises residents in parts of Rocklands Mitchells Plain of critical electrical maintenance between 09:00 and 16:00 on Friday, 27 September 2024. The City apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. Read more below:

Area: Portion of Rocklands, Mitchells Plain, including the area off Spine Road along Weltevreden Road, Gladiator Road and surrounds, Sunderland Street and surrounds, Caravelle Road and surrounds, Kitty Hawk and Marauder and surrounds among others.
Please note that the outage duration is an estimation and restoration could be delayed due to the complex nature of the infrastructure work. Our teams will work as quickly as possible to complete the work within the communicated time.
Please note:
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
